Date of site visit 3/3/1982 by Fieldworker: R. Younger

Significant details: "Box-like brick structure with large rectangular panels of windows. Two greenhouses attached to building at rear. Entrances located at outer corners of main facade."

Significant site and landscape features: "Curved brick wall around rear courtyard."

Historical background: "Drew Hall of Science was named cot Charles M. Drew (1868-1944), a business man who was one of Hamline University's most important benefactors. He was a major donor to both the Drew Hall of Science and the Drew Fine Arts Building."

Statement of significance: "A straightforward, functional science building named after a Hamline benefactor, Charles M. Drew."
